Stir fry with Rice

Stir fry is a quick and easy meal that fills up even the hungriest carnivore.

Choose your meat: beef, chicken, pork or shrimp
I like to buy mine already cut for stir fry to make it easier.

Cook meat half way with chopped onion and desired seasonings (seasoned salt, garlic salt, etc.)

Then add your choice of:
carrots
broccoli
mushrooms
bell peppers
squash
I season everything with garlic salt and seasoning blend or sometimes terriaki or soy sauce too. After everything is added, I cook on low-medium heat with lid on to let the veggies steam. Stir occasionally to allow moisture to get around all ingredients. It is ready once the vegetables are vibrant in color and look moist. Serve hot with rice.

White Rolls and Cinnamon Rolls - Bread Machine Dough cycle

I always have assumed that the best white rolls have dairy ingredients, but I tried this recipe for Easter ( I made them into resurrection rolls with a marshmallow in the center) and they turned out delicious. My husband and I both agreed that they would make great cinnamon rolls, so I tried it today and was not disappointed.  My favorite part is that the dough is made in the bread machine. That way, the prep time/active time is cut down, which is a winner for my life. Here are my two new recipes for White Rolls and Cinnamon Rolls. White Dinner Rolls (bread machine – dough cycle) Place ingredients into bread machine pan: 1 cup water 2 Tbsp margarine 1 egg 3 ¼ cups unbleached all purpose flour ¼ cup white sugar 1 tsp salt 3 tsp active dry yeast After dough is done (1.5 hours), pour out of the bread pan and onto clean surface. Focaccia Bread

How to make Focaccia Bread (Improved Recipe as of April 2012) In a large bowl, stir together: 1 1/4 cup whole white wheat flour 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon white sugar 1 tablespoon active dry yeast (a little more than one packet) 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1 pinch ground black pepper (optional) Mix in: 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 cup warm water When it has mixed enough to resemble dough, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic. Lightly oil a large bowl, place the dough in the bowl, and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Punch dough down; place on greased baking sheet. Pat into a 1/2 inch thick rectangle. Brush top with olive oil.
