Mushroom Burgers

This was delicious. It was a bummer that I had to be responsible and only eat one.


Mix together with your clean hands:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1-2 tablespoons terriaki sauce
- garlic salt
- seasoned salt (lots)
- small pieces of raw mushrooms (not too many or the burgers will not stay together)
Mush, mush, mush it all together and then divide into 4 equal parts. Make tight round balls and smash them into hamburgers. You want to make them slightly larger than the buns you will be using. Drizzle a tad more terriaki sauce on the raw burgers then put them on the hot barbecue and cook for about 6-8 minutes, flipping about halfway through the cook time. Do not push down on your burgers at any time as that lets precious moisture escape.

You will be Mmmmm-ing at your dinner table tonight. :)

White Rolls and Cinnamon Rolls - Bread Machine Dough cycle

I always have assumed that the best white rolls have dairy ingredients, but I tried this recipe for Easter ( I made them into resurrection rolls with a marshmallow in the center) and they turned out delicious. My husband and I both agreed that they would make great cinnamon rolls, so I tried it today and was not disappointed.  My favorite part is that the dough is made in the bread machine. That way, the prep time/active time is cut down, which is a winner for my life. Here are my two new recipes for White Rolls and Cinnamon Rolls. White Dinner Rolls (bread machine – dough cycle) Place ingredients into bread machine pan: 1 cup water 2 Tbsp margarine 1 egg 3 ¼ cups unbleached all purpose flour ¼ cup white sugar 1 tsp salt 3 tsp active dry yeast After dough is done (1.5 hours), pour out of the bread pan and onto clean surface. Taco Salad

I love Taco Salad when it includes the following ingredients: -Variety of lettuce -Fritos (or tortilla chips) -Quality beef and bean chili -Tomatoes -Cilantro -Olives -Avacado -Black Beans -Chopped bell pepper Who needs cheese once all these flavors get involved???
